App Privacy Policy — Offscreen Video Recording
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This page covers the Offscreen Video Recording Android app specifically. It is separate from Teamjuh.com’s general website privacy policy.
Offscreen Video Recording (“the app”) is developed by Teamjuh.com (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your data.
Everything the app records stays on your device.
We never see it, and neither does anyone else.
What the app does
Offscreen Video Recording turns your phone into a personal, background security camera. You point it at a space you own or are otherwise authorized to record, start a recording, and the app captures video and audio using a foreground service — including while the screen is off — until you stop it or a storage or battery limit is reached.
Data the app accesses
| Data | Why | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Camera (video) | To record the video you request | Stored only in the app’s private storage on your device |
| Microphone (audio) | To record audio alongside video | Stored only in the app’s private storage on your device |
| Storage space info | To warn you before a recording would run out of room | Read on-device only; never transmitted |
The app does not:
- Upload, sync, or transmit any recording, audio, or image anywhere
- Use analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or any third-party SDK
- Require an account, login, or any personal information
- Track your location
- Share any data with Teamjuh.com or any other party
There are no servers involved. The app makes no network requests with your recordings, and it has no way to upload them.
Where recordings are stored
Recordings are saved to the app’s own private storage area on your device:
Android/data/<app package>/files/Movies/
This location:
- Is not accessible to other apps
- Is deleted automatically if you uninstall the app
- Can be reviewed, played back, shared, or deleted at any time from the app’s built-in Recordings screen
If you tap Share on a recording, you choose the destination (for example, a messaging app, cloud drive, or file manager) through Android’s own share sheet. That transfer happens directly between your device and the app you pick. We are not part of it and never receive a copy.
Permissions the app requests, and why
- Camera
- To record video.
- Microphone
- To record audio.
- Notifications
- To show the required ongoing “recording in progress” notification while the app is active.
- Foreground service (camera)
- Required by Android to keep recording while the screen is off or the app is in the background.
- Wake lock
- To prevent the device from fully sleeping mid-recording.
Android requires you to grant Camera and Microphone permission explicitly. You can revoke them at any time in your device’s app settings, which will stop the app from being able to record.
Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children. It does not collect data from anyone — recordings never leave your device.
